Create QR Code
About this tool
Create a QR code online from text or a URL, choose the error correction level, size, and appearance, then download it for direct use.
How to use
- 1. Enter the content you want to encode.
- 2. Choose the error correction level.
- 3. Set the QR code size.
- 4. Click Generate and download the QR code.
Parameters
Enter the content to encode into the QR code. If the QR code is for a website, product, or social media, enter the full URL.
Error correction controls how much damage or obstruction the QR code can tolerate while still being readable. When in doubt, choose M. If you plan to add a logo, choose Q or H.
Set the width and height of the QR code image in pixels. 256 px is good for web and mobile, 512 px covers most cases, and 1024 px suits high-definition display and further editing.
You can also adjust the Logo, pattern style, colors, and margin in the Beautify area of this page.
Tips and notes
- Test the QR code with your phone after generating it.
- Keep the foreground and background colors clearly different.
- Leave enough margin around the QR code.
FAQ
What is the error correction level?
It determines how much damage the QR code can tolerate while still being readable. Higher levels recover more data but produce a denser QR code.
Which error correction level should I choose?
M is a good default. Choose Q or H when the QR code will be printed, placed on a product, or include a logo.
What size should I use?
512 px covers most on-screen use. Use 1024 px or higher for printing and further editing, and a smaller size for web and mobile when appropriate.
Can I turn a URL into a QR code?
Yes. Enter a URL starting with http:// or https://, and it will be validated and encoded into the QR code.
Should I test the QR code after generating it?
Yes. Scan it with your phone before printing or publishing to make sure it opens the right content.
